The San Marino Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized in 1929 and this year we celebrate our 95th anniversary! Most of our 54 members are from the San Marino area and surrounding cities. Several chapters have merged into the San Marino Chapter, NSDAR, over the years. They include the Alhambra/San Gabriel Chapter, NSDAR, the Oneonta Park Chapter, NSDAR, the Las Flores Chapter, NSDAR, of South Pasadena, and the Pasadena Chapter, NSDAR. Local residency is not a requirement for membership in any chapter.

We meet at a local residence on the third Thursday of the month January through June and September through December. If you would like to attend one of our meetings and get to know us personally, please contact us!

DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.
